Baiting strategy
Eliminate as far as practicable, all alternative food sources. Bait
infested area. Place ready
to use bait in small containers (bait stations). Mice require several
bait stations, 50 g per
station (less than 1 g will kill a mouse). Rats require large
quantities of bait in one or two
locations, 50-100 g per station (4 - 6 g will kill a rat).
For effective control continue to bait until feeding ceases.
Place bait stations under cover. Inspect bait stations daily. Replace
eaten baits. If eaten
quickly increase number of bait stations. Continue observation and
replenishment until
no more baits are taken. Baiting for at least two weeks is necessary
to reduce rat/ mouse

: Blue pellets.
ODOUR:
Mild odour.
MAJOR HEALTH HAZARDS:
Ingestion of Brodifacoum is initially asymptomatic, and may continue
as such even with
prolonged alterations in prothrombin time. No gastrointestinal tract
or other symptomatology occurs. Coagulation
disturbances may become evident a few days after ingestion, and may be
detected only by laboratory studies. In
severe poisoning, gum-bleeding, epistaxis, petechiae, ecchymoses,
haematomata, blood in urine and faeces, and
genital haemorrhage may occur. Internal bleeding and cerebral
haemorrhage may complicate the patient's prognosis.
No major health hazards are known.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT
DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the bait
or used containers. look for dead rats or mice – burn or bury them.
