Contains a soluble nutrient and electrolytes. DeLaval “RES-Q” is an oral treatment which is an energy supplement that replaces lost electrolytes and fluids in scouring calves. DIRECTIONS FOR USE MIXING RATES To prepare DeLaval “RES-Q” solution, dissolve 100g in two litres of warm water, i.e. 35 ° C, (scoop inside measures 65g of DeLaval "RES-Q", so use 1 1 /2 scoops). ADMINISTRATION Calves to be fed 2litres of DeLaval “RES-Q” solution morning and night for two (2) days. Following this treatment, calves should be fed alternating rations of DeLaval “RES-Q” and regular feed for a further two (2) days. Normal feeding may then resume. If calves have not responded to treatment please contact your local veterinarian. GENERAL INFORMATION To ensure maximum success for the treatment of calves: 1. Separate scouring calves from the main group. 2. Ensure entire treatment ration is consumed by the calf. (This is most easily achieved by either tethering or individually penning affected calves.) 3. Provide shelter for calves undergoing treatment. 4. Provide clean water at all times. This formulation is a result of research by the Regional Veterinary Laboratory, Bairnsdale, Department of Agriculture, Victoria.
