P OND CLE AR controls most algae common to ornamental fish ponds and prevents algae from reappearing. POND CLEAR wi ll not a ff ec t pond plants or fish when used as directed. W he n ponds are heavily infested with algae, oxygen deplet ion in pond water may occur after t ~ eatment . This is caused by dead and decaying algae and can lead to fish mo rt ality. To prevent oxygen depletion, rJmove heavy algae gr ow th s mechanically before treatment. Algae growth is pr omot ed by phosphates from food, fish wastes and strong li ght. Calculate the volume of water in your pond, if not known the volume can be determined by calculating the surface area (length x width) in metres and multiplying this figure by average depth to obtain volume in cubic meters. Multiply by 1,000 to obtain volume in litres. E.g. Length X Width X Average Depth (in metres) X 1,000 for litres. 2. Half fill a bucket with pond water . TO CONTROL ALGAE: 3. SHAKE BOTTLE VIGOROUSLY BEFORE EACH APPLICATION . Measure into bucket 1mL PER 25L OF POND WATER {20mL per 500 LITRES) . When algae first appears or after cleaning an algae infested pond. Mix well and disper se throughout the pod water. Treatment may be repeated after 7 days when necessary. TO PREVENT ALGAE FROM REAPPEARING: After initial treatment to control algae a preventative dose is recommended every 30 days at the rate of 1mL PER 50 LITRES OF POND WATER (10mL per 500 litres).
