Date of revision WHAT _TERBRON SYRUP_ IS USED FOR For the relief of bronchospasm (constriction of the airways going into the lungs) in bronchial asthma and bronchitis (inflammation in the main air passages). HOW _TERBRON SYRUP_ WORKS The active ingredient in this medicine is Terbutaline Sulphate. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator (beta-2 receptor agonist) that produces relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle. BEFORE YOU USE _TERBRON SYRUP_ - _When you must not use it _ • If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to sympathomimetic amines or any of the other ingredients of _Terbron _ _syrup._ • If you are patients with thyrotoxicosis (excess thyroid hormone in the body). _ _ - _Before you start to use it _ Check with your doctor or pharmacist before using your medicine if: • You have heart diseases. • You have diabetes mellitus. • You have hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid gland). • You have high blood pressure. _Pregnancy and lactation _ Do not use _Terbron syrup_ if you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or think you may be pregnant. Do not use _Terbron syrup_ if you are breast-feeding. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. - _Taking other medicines _ There are a few medicines which may interact with Terbron syrup. It is important to tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines that you are taking, including those obtained without prescription.
