WHAT SALBUTAMOL INHALER
IS USED FOR
Salbutamol
inhaler
is
used
in
the
treatment
and
prevention
of
bronchospasm
(constriction
of
the
airways
going
into
the
lungs)
in
the
asthma, chronic bronchitis (inflammation
in
the
air
passages
in
the
lungs)
and
emphysema
(damages
the
air
sacs
(in
your lungs).
HOW SALBUTAMOL INHALER WORKS
Salbutamol belongs to a group of anti-
asthmatic
medicines
known
as
bronchodilators.
It
works
by
widening
the
airways
in
the
lungs
and
thereby
increasing the air flow.
BEFORE YOU USE SALBUTAMOL INHALER

Do not use Salbutamol inhaler if you are
allergic
to
salbutamol
or
any
other
ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you
have thyrotoxicosis (excessive amount of
thyroid hormone).
PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING
Talk to your doctor before taking this
medicine if

You
are
pregnant,
might
become
pregnant
or
think
you
may
be
pregnant
•
You are breast-feeding or planning
to
breast
feed
as
salbutamol
is
probably secreted in breast milk, its
use
in
nursing
mothers
requires
careful consideration.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice
before taking any medicine if you are
pregnant or breast feeding.

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if
you are taking or have recently taken any
other
medicines,
including
medicines
obtained without prescription.
