Claims:
SADOX 240 G Microgranulate feed additive is used for control of
coccidiosis caused by
Eimeria acervulina, E. brunetti, E . maxima, E. necatrix and E.
tenella in broiler chickens
and replacement chickens intended for use as caged layers. SADOX 240 G
Microgranulate
feed additive is used for enhancement of productivity by increasing
the rate of weight gain
and improving feed efficiency of grower finisher pigs and feedlot beef
cattle.
Prior to prescribing Sadox 240 G investigate the use of non-antibiotic
options. If Sadox
240 G is indicated and selected for use, prudent prescribing practices
(appropriate dose,
duration and frequency to minimise treatment failure while minimising
the emergence of
antimicrobial resistance) must be adhered to.

Restraints:
DO NOT USE in animals producing milk for human consumption
DO NOT USE in birds during lay, where eggs or egg products are to be
used for human
consumption or processing.
Contraindications:
This product is not be fed to animals receiving tiamulin (eg.
Dynamutalin, Tiamutin).
Care must be exercised when feeding concurrently with other
antimicrobials. Tiamulin
inhibits biotransformation in the liver, thus stopping detoxication.
Other drugs especially
antibiotics such as erythromycin and tylosin (macrolide) and
lincomycin and clindamycin
(lincosamides) have this property. Delaying elimination of salinomycin
may necessitate a
withholding period. RLP APPROVED
This product must not be fed to horses or any other animal not
included in the label claim.
Salinomycin can cause cardiac and muscular paralysis and conduction
defects. Some
species such as horses and dogs, are particularly susceptible. Deaths
from Salinomycin
may occur in horses and dogs.
