A steerable guide wire with a hydrophilic coating intended to be compatible with interventional devices designed for use with 0.014" guide wires. The guide wire is available in three levels of support and in a straight/shapeable tip, or "J" pre-shaped tip and is provided in exchangeable and extendable lengths. The HI-TORQUE POWERTURN guide wire is intended to facilitate the delivery of catheter-based interventional devices during percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) and percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA). This guide wire may also be used with compatible stent devices during therapeutic procedures.
