The Global Advantage Long Humeral Stem is uncoated and is made of titanium. Implantation is intended to be performed with either bone cement, impacting bone grafting or press-fit. It is designed to provide fixation within the proximal humerus and a site of attachment for a humeral head prosthesis as part of a shoulder joint replacement. Long stem humeral components are available for revisions or fractures of the humeral shaft The Global Advantage Long Humeral Stem is the humeral component of a shoulder joint replacement. It is intended for treatment of patients with osteoarthritis, traumatic arthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. Fracture-dislocations of the proximal humerus where the articular surface is severely comminuted, ununited humeral head fractures, avascular necrosis of the humeral head.
