WHAT FLUIFORT IS USED FOR
Fluifort is used to treat the respiratory
tract
diseases
accompanied
by
excessive mucous production.
HOW FLUIFORT WORKS
Fluifort contains carbocysteine which is
a mucolytic medicine. It reduces the
thickness of mucus (sputum) formed in
the lungs so that it is easier to be
coughed up.
BEFORE YOU USE FLUIFORT

Do not use Fluifort if:

you are allergic (hypersensitive) to
carbocysteine
or
any
of
the
other
ingredients of Fluifort powder _ _

you have ulcers in your stomach or
duodenum

the child is below 2 years old.

_Before you start to use it _

Fluifort
is
unsuitable
for
phenylketonurics (metabolic problem
resulting
in
seizures,
behavioural
problems and mental disorders)
Inform your doctor if you have:

history of ulcers in your stomach
or duodenum

compromised thyroid function
_Pregnancy and lactation _
Please
consult
your
doctor
or
pharmacist
if
you
are
pregnant,
planning
for
pregnancy
or
breast-
feeding before using any medicine.
Do
not
use
during
the
first
three
months of pregnancy.

HOW TO USE FLUIFORT

_How much to use _

Adult: One sachet daily.
Directions for use:
Dissolve the contents of the sachet in
half a glass of water and stir well
before drinking.
Fluifort
may
be
used
for
diabetic
individuals.
Do not use for children.
Follow all directions given to you by
your doctor and pharmacist carefully.

Immune System Disorders:
Anaphylactic / anaphylactoid reaction
Skin and Subcutaneous Tissue Disorders:
Severe cutaneous adverse reactions (SCAR) e.g.
erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS)
and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN).
In most of these cases reported at least one other drug
was administered at the same time, which may have
possibly enhanced the described mucocutaneous
effects.
