WHAT CIPLA COLD & FLU
DAY/NIGHT TABLETS ARE USED FOR
CIPLA COLD & FLU DAY/NIGHT
TABLETS provide temporary
relief from the symptoms of
cold & flu (runny nose, nasal
congestion, headache, body
aches and pains). Reduces
fever. The night tablets also
relieve sneezing, itchy watery
eyes and thereby allow rest by
providing temporary relief from
these symptoms.
Cipla Cold & Flu Day/Night
tablets are a combination of
two types of tablets, a ‘Day’ and
‘Night’tablet. The day tablet
contains paracetamol,
pseudoephedrine hydrochloride
and codeine phosphate
hemihydrate (addressed further
as codeine). The night tablet
contains paracetamol,
pseudoephedrine hydrochloride
and chlorpheneramine maleate.
Paracetamol works to stop the
pain messages from getting
through to the brain. It also acts
in the brain to reduce fever.
Codeine is an opioid pain
reliever and it acts by blocking
pain and your emotional
response to pain.
Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride
belongs to a group of medicines
called sympathomimetic
decongestants. It works by
reducing congestion in the
upper respiratory tract,
including the nose, nasal
passages and sinuses, and
making it easier to breathe.
