WHAT ZOLPRA GR TABLETS IS USED FOR
ZOLPRA GR 20 mg are used:
•
To
treat
mild
heartburn,
acid
regurgitation,
pain
on
swallowing
(reflux oesophagitis).
•
For
the
long-term
treatment
and
prevention
of
recurrent
reflux
oesophagitis
(inflammation
of
the
gullet due to backwash of acid from
the stomach).
•
To stop stomach ulcers and ulcers of
the gut when they are a side effect of
some medicines (e.g. non-steroidal
anti-inflammatory agents (NSAIDS)
(e.g. like indomethacin, aspirin).
ZOLPRA GR 40 mg is used:
•
Moderate
and
severe
reflux
oesophagitis
•
For treatment of ulcers in the stomach
•
For treatment of ulcers in the gut
(duodenum)
•
To
treat
patients
with
Zollinger
Ellison syndrome, where the stomach
produces very large amounts of acid
or other similar conditions.
•
For
treating
an
infection
with
a
bacterium called Helicobacter pylori
in patients with duodenal ulcers and
stomach ulcers in combination with
two antibiotics (eradication therapy).
The aim is to get rid of the bacteria
and so reduce the likelihood of these
ulcers returning.
HOW ZOLPRA GR WORK
The active ingredient of ZOLPRA GR
are Pantoprazole, which is a proton pump
inhibitor. Proton pump inhibitors reduce
the amount of acid produced in your
stomach.
ZOLPRA GR Tablets are available in
two strengths as 20 mg & 40 mg tablets
This medicine should not be used in
children.
This medicine is available only with a
doctor’s prescription.

Do not take ZOLPRA GR Tablets
•
You
are
allergic
to
pantoprazole,
other proton pump inhibitors or any
of the other ingredients in ZOLPRA
GR Tablets.
•
