WHAT_ VECOBAL_ IS USED FOR
Vecobal is used for treatment of
peripheral nerve (nerve outside the brain
and spinal cord) damage and treatment of
symptoms due to Vitamin B12
deficiency.
HOW_ VECOBAL_ WORKS
Mecobalamin is a Vitamin B12
coenzyme. It plays a fundamental role in
protein synthesis and stimulates amino
acid synthesis and helps to restore
normal levels of nucleic acid in nerve
cells. It also enhances the formation of
major component of nerve cells.
BEFORE YOU USE_ VECOBAL_

_When you must not use it_
Do not take this medicine without
consulting any Doctor or Pharmacist.
Not recommended for children unless
advised by a doctor.
_Pregnancy and lactation_
Not recommended during pregnancy
and lactation, unless advised by a
doctor. Vitamin B12 is distributed into
breast milk.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist for
advice before taking Vecobal.

_Taking other medicines_
Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including any that
you buy without a prescription from a
pharmacy, supermarket or health food
shop.
The absorption of Vitamin B12 may be
reduced by:

Neomycin (used treat skin
infections)

Aminosalicylic Acid (used to
treat tuberculosis-contagious
infection that usually attacks
the lungs)

Histamine H2-Antagonists
(used to treat duodenal/ gastric
ulcers)

Colchicine (used to treat gout)
HOW TO USE_ VECOBAL_

_How much to use_

Use according to instructions
given by your doctor or
pharmacist.

For adults, take 1 tablet
(500mcg) 3 times daily. The
dose may be adjusted according
to your age and severity of
symptoms.

