DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
FOR USE ONLY UNDER THE AUTHORITY OR PRESCRIPTION OF
A VETERINARIAN.
Do not administer to animals with known sulfonamide
sensitivity, liver parenchymal damage or blood dyscrasias.
Animals under treatment should have unlimited access to water.
If dehydration occurs rehydrate with appropriate medication.
NOT FOR USE IN BOBBY CALVES.
INDICATIONS: Systemic treatment for a range of bacterial
infections caused by bacteria sensitive to trimethoprim
and sulfadimidine of the respiratory tract (eg pneumonia,
bronchitis), urogenital tract (eg. nephritis, metritis), gastro-
intestinal tract (eg. colibacillosis, salmonellosis), bacterial
secondary infections after viral diseases, mastitis, foot rot,
septicaemia in all species, wound infections,
post-operative and post parturient use, etc.
DOSAGE
CATS: 0.5mL/7.5kg bw IM daily
DOGS: 1mL/8kg bw IM once daily
CATTLE, SHEEP, PIGS: 1mL/15kg bw IM
or slow IV once daily
HORSES: 1mL/15kg bw IV only once daily
Inject slowly. Give into the anterior half
of the neck in food-producing animals.
Transitory pain may be experienced after
large injection. Doses larger than 5mL
should be injected at separate sites.
WITHHOLDING PERIODS: IT IS AN
OFFENCE FOR USERS OF THIS PRODUCT
TO CAUSE RESIDUES EXCEEDING THE
RELEVANT MRL IN THE FOOD NOTICE:
MAXIMUM RESIDUE LEVELS FOR
AGRICULTURAL COMPOUNDS.
MEAT –
Cattle, sheep and pigs: 5 DAYS
Horses: 63 DAYS
MILK –
Cattle: 48 HOURS (4 milkings)
Sheep and goats: 35 DAYS
WARNING: Causes mild skin and eye irritation. Suspected of
damaging fertility or the unborn child. May cause damage to
organs through prolonged or repeated exposure.
FIRST AID:
IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water.
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes.
Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
IF SKIN OR EYE IRRITATION PERSISTS: Get medical advice/
attention.
IF EXPOSED OR CONCERNED: contact a doctor or the National
