WHAT T3 MYCIN GEL IS USED FOR
T3 Mycin Gel is used for treatment
of acne.
HOW
T3
MYCIN
GEL
WORKS
T3
Mycin
Gel
contains
Clindamycin
Phosphate,
a
lincosamide
antibiotic
works
by
decreasing
acne
lesions
and/or
stopping
the
growth
of
skin
bacteria that cause acne.
Ask your pharmacist or doctor if
you have any questions about this
medicine.
BEFORE YOU USE T3 MYCIN GEL_ _
_-When you must not use it_
Allergic
(hypersensitive)
to
clindamycin, lincomycin or any of
the ingredients listed at the end of
this leaflet.
If the packaging shows signs of
tampering.
If the expiry date (EXP) printed on
the pack has passed.
Individual with a history of
gastrointestinal disease,
particularly colitis (inflammation
of the inner lining of the colon).
Clindamycin is not recommended
in new-borns.
_Pregnancy and lactation _
Safety for use in pregnancy has not
been established. Clindamycin has
been
reported
to
appear
in
the
breast
milk,
therefore
it
is
not
recommended for nursing mothers.
_-Before you start to use it_
Usage
of
Clindamycin
in
the
absence of a bacterial infection is
unlikely
to
provide
benefit
and
increases the risk of development
of antibiotic-resistance bacteria.
