WHAT MINOXIDIL LOTION IS USED FOR
It is used for a common form of baldness,
which may be related to age or family history
(called Alopecia Androgenetica).
HOW MINOXIDIL LOTION WORKS
The
active
ingredient
in
the
medicine
is
Minoxidil. When applied topically, minox-
idil has been shown to stimulate hair growth
and prevent hair loss in male pattern bald-
ness and alopecia areata (an immune reaction
on hair follicles caused hair loss). The onset
of hair growth stimulation is variable among
people. Upon discontinuation of minoxidil,
new hair growth stops and restoration of pre-
treatment appearance is expected within 3-4
months. The exact mechanism of action of
minoxidil in the treatment of male pattern
baldness is not known. Topical application
showed no systemic effects related to
absorption of minoxidil.

Do not use Minoxidil Lotion if you have:-

Hypersensitivity
to
minoxidil
or

ingredients in this product listed at the end
of this leaflet.

phaechromocytoma
(tumor
of
adrenal
gland that cause high blood pressure)

pregnant, planning to become pregnant or
if
you
are
breastfeeding.
The
effects
of
Minoxidil
Lotion
in
pregnancy
are
unknown. Systemically absorbed minoxidil
is found in human milk.

In
the
event
of
accidental
contact
with
sensitive surfaces (eye, abraded skin, mucous
membranes), the area should be bathed with
copious amounts of cool tap water.
