WHAT SUNOCOR TABLET IS USED FOR
It is used to reduce cholesterol level in people
with increased cholesterol and triglycerides in
blood.
This
also
treatment
for
slow
the
progression
of
coronary
atherosclerosis
(build-up of cholesterol substance inside the
artery walls) in people with heart disease.
HOW SUNOCOR TABLET WORKS
The
active
ingredient
this
medicine
is
Lovastatin. Lovastatin is a specific inhibitor
of
HMG-CoA
reductase
and
works
by
slowing the production of cholesterol in body
while reduces the amount of cholesterol or
other lipids that may build up on the wall of
arteries and block the flow to all parts of the
body.
BEFORE YOU USE SUNOCOR TABLET
_- When you must not use it _
Do not use Sunocor Tablet if you:

are
hypersensitive
to
lovastatin
or
any
ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet.

have past history of liver disease.

concomitant
administration
with
strong
CYP3A4 inhibitors (such as itraconazole,
ketoconazole,
posaconazole,
voriconazole,
HIV
protease
inhibitors,
boceprevir,
telaprevir , erythromycin , clarithromycin ,
telithromycin and nefazodone).

concomitant administration with cyclospor-
ine.

You should check with your doctor:-

if you are or think you may be pregnant.

if you are planning to become pregnant.

if you are breastfeeding.

if you have the rare homozygous familial
hypercholestrolemia (levels of low density
lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol is very high).


consume
substantial
quantites
of
alcohol.
