WHAT ROXIM CAPSULE_ _IS USED FOR
It is used for pain and inflammation in
osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease),
rheumatoid arthritis (systemic
inflammatory disorder that affects joints),
ankylosing spondylitis (chronic
inflammatory disease of the spine).
HOW ROXIM CAPSULE WORKS
Roxim Capsules contain a substance called
piroxicam. Piroxicam belongs to a group of
medicines called non-steroid anti-
inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These
medicines reduce pain and inflammation
.
BEFORE YOU USE ROXIM CAPSULE
_- When you must not use it _
Do not take Roxim Capsule if you:
- are allergic to piroxicam or other
ingredients of Roxim capsule.

have a history of allergic reactions
(swollen eyes or mouth, difficulty
breathing, rashes) to similar painkillers
such as aspirin, ibuprofen or other
NSAIDs.

_- Before you start to use it _
Check with doctor or pharmacist:
- If you have or have had ulceration,
bleeding and perforation of your
stomach and intestinal.
- if have any heart, liver or kidney
problems.
- if elderly.
- if drinks alcohol.
- if you have high blood pressure.
- if you are suffering from dyspepsia
(discomfort at the epigastic region due to
digestion problem).
- Roxim capsule may cause severe skin
reactions, e.g. exfoliative dermatitis,
toxic epidermal necrolysis, Steven-
Johnson Sydrome. Symptoms may
include skin blisters and peel off. These
could be signs of a serious condition. If
these reactions occur, stop use and seek
medical assistance right away.
