WHAT PRISEPTINE IS USED FOR
It is used in preparation of skin before any
operation, treatment of contaminated
wounds, eczematoid ringworm infection of
the skin.
HOW PRISEPTINE_ _WORKS
Povidone iodine slowly change into iodine
in contact with the skin and mucous
membranes. Iodine has powerful action in
killing bacterias.
BEFORE YOU USE PRISEPTINE
_- When you must not use it _ - allergic to the active ingredient of the
product.
- not to be used if on litium treatment and
thyroid diseases.
_- Before you start to use it _
This solution when applied to the skin
should not be covered with occlusive
dressing. Iodine may cause unusual
reactions. Discontinue use if irritation
occurs. It should be used with caution in
children below 2 years, pregnancy,
breast feeding and on broken skin.
_- Taking other medicines _
The medicine is for topical application
and will usually have minimal effect on
other medication. However, please inform
the doctor
or pharmacist if taking other
medicines.
HOW TO USE PRISEPTINE
- _How much to use _
Clean the affected part and then apply the
lotion to the skin. As a vaginal douche,
the solution may be diluted 3 – 4 times
with water.
