WHAT _PRIMIFED _IS USED FOR
For relief of nasal and sinus congestion,
sneezing and runny nose, associated with
the common cold and allergic rhinitis.
HOW _PRIMIFED _WORKS
_Primifed _
contains pseudoephedrine
hydrochloride, which is a decongestant
that relieves nasal and sinus congestion
and triprolidine hydrochloride which is an
antihistamine that helps stop sneezing,
runny nose and watery eyes.
BEFORE YOU USE _PRIMIFED _
_- When you must not use it _

Do not take

if
• allergic to its active ingredients or to
other ingredients in it.

• you are taking, or have taken in the last
two weeks, drugs for depression known
as monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
• you are breastfeeding.
_- Before you start to use it _
Safety for use in pregnancy has not been
established. Get advice from a doctor or
pharmacist, if you have
• heart and blood vessel related disease
• raised pressure in the eyes
• high blood pressure
• overactive thyroid gland
• enlarged prostate
_- Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor if you are taking
tricyclic antidepressants (for depression),
atropine (for stomach spasms) or any
other medicines that you buy without a
prescription from a pharmacy,
supermarket or health food shop.
HOW TO USE _PRIMIFED _
_- How much to use _
Adult and children over 12 years: 1
tablet 3 or 4 times a day as needed.
Children 6 to 12 years: Oral, ½ tablet 3 or
4 times a day as needed. Follow all
directions given by your doctor and
pharmacist carefully. They may differ
