WHAT _CHLORPHENIRAMINE _IS USED FOR
For treatment of long term and seasonal
allergic symptoms of hay fever and other
allergies.
HOW _CHLORPHENIRAMINE _WORKS
_Chlorpheniramine _
can help to relieve
symptoms of some allergies and itchy skin
rashes. It can be used to treat the itchiness,
redness, swelling, tenderness and irritation
that can be caused by hay fever, hives,
prickly heat, reactions to food/medicines,
insect bites or chicken pox rashes.
BEFORE YOU USE _CHLORPHENIRAMINE _

if allergic
to its active ingredient or to other
ingredients in it.

• Do not take

if you are
breastfeeding.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice
before taking any medicine.
_- Before you start to use it _
Inform the doctor or pharmacist if having
• raised pressure in eyes
• asthma
• kidney function impairment
• high blood pressure
• diabetes
• overactive thyroid gland
Safety for use in pregnancy and lactation
has not been established. Get advice from a
doctor or pharmacist.
_- Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines that may increase the
effects of either medication e.g.
• barbiturates (for sleeping difficulty)
• tricyclic antidepressant (for depression)
• narcotic analgesics (for pain relief)
• monoamine oxidase inhibitors (for
depression)
• atropine (for stomach spasms)
Also, including any medicine that you buy
without a prescription from a pharmacy,
supermarket or health food shop.
