WHAT PRIMEDAZOL IS USED FOR
It is used for treatment of single or mixed
infestations of pinworm(threadworm),
roundworm, whipworm, hookworms and
tapeworm.
HOW PRIMEDAZOL_ _WORKS
Primedazol
_ _
contains mebendazole, which
belongs to a group of medicines called
anthelmintics that eliminates parasitic
worm infections. It kills the worms within
a few days of taking.
BEFORE YOU USE PRIMEDAZOL

Primedazol if allergic to
mebendazole or to other ingredients in
the product.

pharmacist for advice before taking.
- Do not take during pregnancy or whilst
breastfeeding
_- Before you start to use it _
If on high dose therapy, take with meals,
especially fatty ones, to increase
absorption of the medicine.
_- Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including any that you
buy without a prescription from a
pharmacy, supermarket or health food
shop.
HOW TO USE PRIMEDAZOL_ _
_- How much to use _
Adults and children over 2 years: For
pinworm/threadworm infestations: oral,
100mg as a single dose. Repeat, if
necessary after 2 – 3 weeks.
For other infestations: oral, 100mg two
times a day, morning and evening for
three days, or oral, 500mg as a single
dose. If necessary, a second course of
treatment may be repeated in two to three
weeks. Note: The tablets may be
swallowed whole or crushed and mixed
with food. Continue medication for full
course of treatment. Follow all directions
given by your doctor and pharmacist
carefully.
