WHAT POVIDERM PAINT IS USED
FOR
POVIDERM
PAINT
is
a
topical
antiseptic
treating
minor
burns,
wounds, cuts and abrasions, as well
as to treat viral, fungal and bacterial
skin infections.
HOW POVIDERM PAINT WORKS
POVIDERM
PAINT
contains
Povidone-iodine
which
acts
as
an
antiseptic.
Antiseptic
is
an
antimicrobial substance that helps to
reduce the possibility of infection.
BEFORE
YOU
USE
POVIDERM
PAINT
_-When you must not use it _

Do not apply POVIDERM PAINT
if:

You are allergic (hypersensitive)
to Povidone-iodine or to any of
the
other
ingredients
in
this
medicine.

You experience swelling of neck
due
to
enlargement
of
thyroid
gland.

Pregnancy and breast feeding:

advice before using this medicine if

_-Taking other medicines _
Lithium
can
interact
with
POVIDERM
PAINT
to
affect
the
function
of
the
thyroid
gland.
Absorption of iodine from povidone
iodine through either intact skin or
broken
skin
may
interfere
with
thyroid
function
tests.
Therefore,
simultaneous use should be avoided
