WHAT POTCIT MIXTURE IS USED FOR
Potcit
Mixture

is
by
its
alkalising
action may relieve the discomfort of
cyctitis
(inflammation
of
bladder)
caused
by
lower
urinary
tract
infections.
HOW POTCIT MIXTURE WORKS
Potassium citrate is oxidized in the
body to form potassium bicarbonate
or
sodium
bicarbonate.
Effects
are
essentially those of chlorides before
absorption
and
those
bicarbonates
after absorption.
BEFORE YOU USE POTCIT MIXTURE
_- When you must not take it _
Do not take Potcit Mixture if you:

are
allergic
to
any
medicine
containing
citric
acid
or
potassium nitrate.
Do not take this medicine after the
expiry date printed on the pack or if
the packaging is torn or shows signs
of tampering.
If it has expired or is damaged, return
it to your pharmacist for disposal.
If
you
are
not
sure
whether
you
should start taking this medicine, talk
to your pharmacist or doctor.

Tell

you
have
allergies
to
any
other
medicines,
foods, preservatives or dyes.
