PHARMANIAGA
ACICLOVIR
TABLET IS USED FOR
Pharmaniaga Aciclovir Tablet is an
antiviral
medicine.
Pharmaniaga
Aciclovir Tablet is used to:
•
treat or prevent
_herpes genital_
(sexually transmitted disease)
•
treat or prevent
_herpes simplex_
(a viral infection, caused by a
group of herpes viruses,
that
may produce cold sores, genital
inflammation,
or
conjunctivitis)
•
treat
or
prevent
varicella
infection (chicken pox).
•
treat or prevent
_herpes zoster_
(shingles)

PHARMANIAGA
ACICLOVIR
TABLET WORKS
Pharmaniaga
Aciclovir
Tablet
acts
on infected cells by stopping the virus
from growing.
BEFORE
YOU
USE
PHARMANIAGA
ACICLOVIR TABLET
_-When you must not use it _
Do not take Pharmaniaga Aciclovir
Tablet if:
•
you
are
allergic
(hypersensitive)
to
aciclovir,
any
of
the
ingredients
in
Pharmaniaga Aciclovir Tablet.
_-Before you start to use it_
Your doctor needs to know before
you
take
Pharmaniaga
Aciclovir
Tablet if you have nervous system
abnormalities
and
renal
function
impairment.
_-Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you
are taking or have recently taken any
other medicines, including medicines
obtained
without
a
prescription.
Especially:
•
Probenecid medication (used to
treat gout), as these increase the
concentration of
Aciclovir and
prolong its elimination from the
renal
subsequently
increase
toxicity.
•
Nephrotoxic
medications
(medicines
that
can
damage
kidney)
–
concurrent
use
of
Aciclovir with any
nephrotoxic
medications
may
increase
damaging or destructive to the
ki
