WHAT NEO CREAM IS USED FOR
Neo
Cream
is
used
to
treat
skins
infections,
infected
wounds
and
burns
due to susceptible organism. It is also
used in surgical prophylaxis.
HOW NEO CREAM WORKS
Neo Cream contains the active substance
neomycin.
It
belongs
to
the
group
of
antibiotic called
aminoglycoside
which
kills bacteria (bactericidal) by interfering
the bacterial structure.
BEFORE YOU USE NEO CREAM

_When you must not use it_
Do not use Neo Cream if you are allergic
to
neomycin
or
any
of
the
other
ingredients
listed
at
the
end
of
this
leaflet. An allergic reaction may include
skin rashes.

_Before you start use it_
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before
using this medicine.

_Taking other medicines_
Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including any that you
buy
without
a
prescription
from
a
pharmacy,
supermarket
or
health
food
shop.
HOW TO USE NEO CREAM

Follow all directions given to you by

doctor
and
pharmacist
carefully.
They may differ from the information
contained in this leaflet. If you do not
understand the instructions on the label,
ask your doctor or pharmacist for help.
Place a small amount onto a clean cotton
bud and apply to the infected area of
your skin.

Apply Neo Cream 2 to 3 time daily or
use
as
directed
by
your
doctor
or
pharmacist.

Continue using Neo Cream for as long as
your doctor recommends.

NEO CREAM
0.5% (W/W)
INDICATIONS
NEO CREAM 0.5% (w/w) contains 0.5% w/w Neomycin Sulphate in a
white homogenous cream base.
NEOMYCIN is an aminoglycoside with a bactericidal activity and is
thought to act by interfering with bacterial protein synthesis.
NEOMYCIN is active against many gram-positive and gram-negative
bacteria and mycobacteria. Proteus organisms are often susceptible.
For skin infections, infected wounds and burns due to susceptible
organisms.
It is also used in surgical prophylaxis.
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to NEOMYCIN.
If used repeatedly or in the presence of excessive skin damage, may
cause
deafness.
Skin rashes may occur due to sensitivity

A small quantity should be applied to the affected area 2 to 3 times
daily.
When crusts are present, they should be removed before applying the
preparation. ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: External application.
