EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine lowers blood pressure by dilating peripheral vessels and
reducing vascular
resistance, via its α-receptor blocking action. Also this medicine
increases the bladder capacity
by suppressing increase in urethral pressure and bladder contraction.
It is usually used to treat essential hypertension, renal hypertension
and dysuria associated
with benign prostatic hypertrophy. When used for prostatic
hypertrophy, however, it does not
cure the cause of symptoms itself.
THE FOLLOWING PATIENTS MAY NEED TO BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS
