What Kidz PCM 250 Suspension is used
for
Kidz PCM 250 Suspension is used for the
relief of fever and mild to moderate pain in
children, including headache and toothache.
How Kidz PCM 250 Suspension works
Kidz PCM 250 Suspension contains
Paracetamol which belongs to a group of
medicines called analgesic and antipyretic
that helps to ease pain and reduce fever. It is
rapidly and completely absorbed following
oral administration and will exert its effect
between 30 minutes to 2 hours later. This
effect could last for 3 to 4 hours.
Before you use Kidz PCM 250 Suspension
When you must not take it
Do not take this product if you are allergic
(hypersensitivity) to Paracetamol or any
other ingredients in this product.
Before you start to use it
This medicine should be given with care to
patients with impaired liver or kidney
function and to patients taking other drugs
that affect the liver.
Taking other medicines
You should always check with your doctor
if your child is taking any of these
medicines:
Chloramphenicol, anticoagulant (e.g.
Warfarin), drugs increasing or decreasing
gastric emptying (e.g. Metoclorpramide,
Propantheline or narcotic analgesic,
Pethidine) and enzyme-inducing agents (e.g.
Phenytoin).
How to take Kidz PCM 250 Suspension
How much to take
For fever and pain
Children 6 to 12 years: Give 5 to 10ml.
Children 1 to 6 years: Give 2.4 to 5ml.
Babies 3 to 12 months: Take 0.6 to 1.2ml.
To be taken 3 to 4 times a day.
For post-immunization fever in babies
Babies 2 to 3 months:
Give 1.2ml as a single dose. A second dose
can be repeated after 6 hours if necessary.
Do not give more than 4 doses in 24
