RUB is used for?
It
is
used
as
antiseptic
and
disinfectant that is bactericidal or
bacteriostatic against a wide range
of bacteria and some viruses, fungi.
How HEXIPREP-T HAND RUB
works?
It
contains
Chlorhexidine
Gluconate,
an
antiseptic
and
disinfectant
effective
against
a
wide range of pathogens.
It
contains
Ethyl
alcohol
is
bacteriostatic at low concentrations
but
has
bactericidal
activity
at
higher concentrations.
Before
you
use
HEXIPREP-T
HAND RUB
When you must not use it
Do not use it if you have a known
allergic reaction to chlorhexidine,
ethyl
alcohol
or
any
of
the
excipients
in
the
formulation.
However,
such
reactions
are
extremely rare.
Before you start to use it
Frequent application of alcohol to
the skin produces irritation and dry
skin.
Since chlorhexidine is irritant it is
recommended that is should not be
used
on
the
brain,
meninges,
middle
ear
or
other
sensitive
tissues.
Taking other medicines
Alcohol should not be brought into
contact
with
some
vaccines
and
skin test injections (patch tests). If
in
doubt,
consult
the
vaccine
manufacturer's literature.
How
to
use
HEXIPREP-T
HAND RUB?
How much to use
For use undiluted for hand asepsis:
Take HEXIPREP-T HAND RUB
in
sufficient
quantity
and
rub
gently on dry hands, finger nails
and all surfaces till it dries.
When to use it
As frequently as possible.
How long to use it
Rub gently over all surfaces for 30
seconds.
If you forget to use it
If you forget to use it, use it as soon
as possible.
If you use too much (overdose)
There are no reports of overdose
