WHAT GARBOSE TABLET
IS USED FOR
Additional therapy in association with diet in
patients with diabetes mellitus.
HOW GARBOSE TABLET WORKS
It
works
by
inhibiting
intestinal
enzyme
involved in the degradation of carbohydrates,
which delay the digestion and absorption of
food, thus lowering blood glucose level.
BEFORE YOU USE GARBOSE TABLET
WHEN YOU MUST NOT TAKE IT
When you are allergic to acarbose. If you
have
chronic
intestinal
disorders,
severe
hepatic and renal problems, you must not take
this medicine.
BEFORE YOU START TO TAKE IT
Tell your doctor if you have allergies to any
medicines
or
if
you
have
any
medical
conditions.
TAKING OTHER MEDICINES
Tell your doctor if you are taking any other
medications.
There
may
be
an
interaction
between
acarbose
and
some
other
medications, including hypoglycemic agents,
intestinal
absorbents
and
digestive
enzyme
products,
neomycin,
cholestyramine
and
digoxin.
HOW TO TAKE GARBOSE TABLET

The dosage must be adjusted by the doctor to
suit
each
patient,
because
efficacy
and
tolerability
vary
from
one
individual
to
another. Please consult your doctor if you
have any question.
WHEN TO TAKE IT
To be swallowed whole with a little liquid
before meal or to be chewed with the first
few mouthfuls of the meal.
