What Enzoxid Anti-Acne gel is used
for
Enzoxid
anti-acne
gel
is
indicated
for
the treatment of mild to moderate acne
vulgaris.
How Enzoxid Anti-Acne gel works
Benzoyl
peroxide
has
been
proven
to
have
bactericidal
(capable
of
killing
bacteria) activity; in particular it is active
against Propionibacterium Acnes.
The
mechanism
of
action
of
benzoyl
peroxide is not totally understood but its
antibacterial
activity
against
Propionibacterium acnes is thought to be
a major mode of action.
Before you use Enzoxid Anti-Acne gel
- When you must not use it
Do not use if you have known sensitivity
to
benzoyl
peroxide
or
especially
sensitive skin
- Before you start to use it

To test for sensitivity, apply to a
small affected area once a day for
two days.

Follow
label
instructions
and
continue use if no discomfort occurs.
Taking other medicines
Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including any that you
buy
without
a
prescription
from
a
pharmacy,
supermarket
or
health
food
shop.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice
before taking any medicine.
How to use Enzoxid Anti-Acne gel
- How much to use
Cleanse
the
skin
thoroughly
before
applying Enzoxid 5/2.5 Anti-Acne gel.
Cover the entire affected area with a thin
layer of one to two times daily.
Because excessive drying of thin skin
may
occur,
start
with
one
application
daily, then gradually increase to two or
three times daily if needed or as directed
by doctor.
If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs,
reduce application to once a day or every
other day.

Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying Enzoxid 5/2.5 Anti-Acne
gel.

Hypersensitive to the components of Enzoxid 5/2.5 Anti-Acne Gel is a
contraindication to the use of this product.
There are no known interaction with other medications which might be
used
cutaneously and concurrently with benzoyl peroxide gel or lotion;
however,
drugs with desquamative, irritant and drying effects should not be
used
concurrently with benzoyl peroxide gel or lotion.

Enzoxid 2.5% & 5% anti acne gel is a White, soft, smooth, homogeneous
gel
with slight characteristics inherent odour & no coarse particles
visible or
perceptible.
Each gram of Enzoxid 2.5% & 5% Anti Acne Gel ( Benzoyl peroxide gel BP
2.5% &5%) contain 25mg & 50mg of Benzoyl peroxide in water soluble
base.
Benzoyl peroxide has antibacterial, Oxidizing and Keratolytic
properties.
