_Staphylococcus intermedius_ in dogs.
ACTIVE CONSTITUENT:
30 G/L CHLORHEXIDINE GLUCONATE
PROPERTIES:
Dermcare Pyohex™ Medicated Conditioner is an antiseptic, leave-on
conditioner designed to be used in conjunction with Dermcare
Pyohex™ Medicated Shampoo, or other appropriate product, to kill
_Staphylococcus intermedius_, a micro-organism which can be the
primary or secondary cause of superficial dermatitis. Dermcare
Pyohex™ Medicated Conditioner prolongs the antibacterial action of
chlorhexidine containing shampoos such as Dermcare Pyohex™
Medicated Shampoo. The frequency of washing may be reduced, as
directed by your veterinary surgeon.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
ANTIBIOTIC THERAPY IS RECOMMENDED FOR THE INITIAL CONTROL OF INFECTION
OR WHERE DEEP PYODERMAS EXIST.
Wash the dog with Dermcare Pyohex™ Medicated Shampoo, or other
appropriate product, and rinse thoroughly. Place a small amount of
Dermcare Pyohex™ Medicated Conditioner into the palm of the hand,
spread evenly over both hands, then gently massage into the coat.
Use approximately 1 mL for every kilogram weight of the dog. Do not
rinse after application. Dermcare Pyohex™ Medicated Conditioner
can be used on haired and non haired skin.
SAFETY DIRECTIONS:
Will irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
When
using the product wear rubber gloves. If product in eyes, wash it out
immediately with water. Wash hands after use.
FIRST AID:
If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre.

glass of water.
DISPOSAL:
Dispose of empty container by wrapping in paper and putting in
garbage.
STORAGE:
Store below 30˚C (Room Temperature. Do not freeze.)

If in eyes, hold eyelids apart and flush the eye continuously with
running water. Continue flushing until
advised to stop by the Poisons Information Centre or a doctor, or for
at least 15 minutes.
SKIN
Gently flush affected areas with water. Seek medical attention if
irritation develops.
INHALATION
Remove from exposure area to fresh air. If any symptoms persist seek
medical attention.
INGESTION
For advice, contact a Poison Information Centre on 13 11 26 (Australia
Wide) or a doctor. If
swallowed, do not induce vomiting.
