Ciri produk

Acute uncomplicated urinary tract infections : 250mg to
500mg once to two times a day. Complicated urinary tract
infections : 250mg to 500mg two times a day.
Acute
gonorrhoea
and
acute
uncomplicated
cystitis
in
women : 250mg as a single dose.
Severe infections, e.g. recurrent infections in patients with
mucoviscidosis, pneumonias, infections of the bones and
joints, infections of the abdominal cavity, caused by
Pseudomonas, Staphylococcus or Streptococcus pneumo-
niae : 750mg two times a day.
Other infections (see Indications) : 500mg two times a day.
Doses may be adjusted in patients with impaired renal
function by administering half of normal dose.
Elderly patients should receive as low a dose as possible,
taking into account the severity of the illness and the
creatinine clearance. Administration : Dosage should be
adjusted according to causative organisms and severity of
symptoms. Treatment should be continued for at least 3 days
after the temperature has returned to normal and/or the
clinical symptoms have disappeared.
Average Treatment Period : 1 day for acute gonorrhoea,
up to 7 days for infections of the kidneys, urinary tract and
abdominal cavity, throughout the entire neutropenic phase in
immunocompromised patients, a maximum of 2 months for
osteo-myelitis and 7-14 days for all other infections. Treatment
should continue for a minimum of 10 days in streptococcal
infections owing to the risk of late complications.
Restricted Kidney and Liver Function :
1. Creatinine clearance <20 mL/min - Serum creatinine
>3mg/100mL : 1⁄2 the normal dose twice daily or the full
normal dose once a day.
2. Restricted Kidney Function + Haemodialysis : Dosage
as for 1, on dialysis days after dialysis.
3. Restricted Liver Function : No dosage adjustment required.
4. Restricted Kidney and Liver Function Levels : Dosage
adjustment as for 1, possibly check Cycin serum levels.
Contraindications
1) Patients with hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin.
2) Pregnant women, Lactating women.
3) Children, Adolescents(less than 18 years of
