WHAT COLLOMACK IS USED FOR
Collomack is a 10% solution of salicylic
acid in an organic solvent mixture which
is applied externally to the skin in order
to remove the skin in the event of
hardening caused by warts, corns and
calluses.
HOW COLLOMACK WORKS
Salicylic acid has bacteriostatic and
fungicidal actions, but it is its keratolytic
properties which are important for this
medicinal product. When applied
externally it produces slow and painless
destruction of the epithelium. Salicylic
acid is usually applied in the form of a
paint in a collodian base (10 to 17%) or
as a plaster (20 to 50%) to destroy warts
or corns.
BEFORE YOU USE COLLOMACK

_When you must not use it _

if you are allergic (hypersensitive)
to salicylic acid (aspirin) or any of
the other ingredients of Collomack.
•
if you have diabetes
•
if you have poor blood circulation
•
if the wart or skin surrounding it is
inflamed or broken
•
on moles, birthmarks, unusual
warts with hairgrowth
•
on your face
•
on warts in the anal or genital
region.

using any pharmaceutical products.
_Taking other medicines _
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist
if you are taking or have recently taken
other pharmaceutical products, even if
these were non-prescription products.
Salicylic acid can intensify the
penetration of other locally applied
pharmaceutical products into the skin.
When absorbed into the blood stream
salicylic acid can increase the harmful
effects of methotrexate and amplify the
blood sugar reducing effect of
sulfonylureas.
