The IT?System software contains a series of stimulation sequences, which are sent to the implant under test. The resulting electrical stimulation, if present, creates electrical potentials on the surface of the recipient?s skin (surface potentials). These surface potentials are measured and digitised using the IT?Unit. The IT?Unit transfers the digital information to the IT software for analysis. The IT?System is intended for testing the in-vivo neuro-stimulator (implant) component of a Cochlear implant system in-situ.
