WORKS
Dequalinium
chloride
is
a
quaternary
ammonium antiseptic active against many
gram-positive
and
gram-negative
bacteria, yeasts and fungi.
BEFORE
YOU
USE

Do not take more than eight lozenges in
24 hours.

If symptoms persist despite treatment
seek medical advice from your doctor or
pharmacist.

Adult

Children
over

years
:
One
lozenge to be sucked slowly. Repeat when
necessary. Maximum 8 lozenges per day.

DESCRIPTION
LEMON GINGER : Yellowish orange color to yellowish orange
mottled, diamond shape, uncoated tablet.
LEMON HONEY : Yellow color to yellow mottled, diamond shape,
uncoated tablet.
ORANGE : Orange color to orange mottled, diamond shape,
uncoated tablet.
Each lozenge contains 0.25mg dequalinium chloride BP
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
Oral
PHARMACODYNAMIC
Dequalinium
chloride
is
a
quaternary
ammonium
antiseptic
active against many gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria,
yeast and fungi.
PHARMACOKINETIC
Not available.
INDICATIONS
For symptomatic relief of sore throat.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
SIDE EFFECTS / ADVERSE EFFECT
Occasional hypersensitivity reactions and soreness of the tongue
are possible.
PRECAUTIONS / WARNING
Keep all medicines out of the reach of children. If symptoms
persist, consult your doctor.
Warning: Do not exceed the stated dose.
RECOMENDED DOSAGE
Adult & children (over 10 years): One lozenge to be sucked
slowly. Repeat when necessary. Maximum 8 lozenges per day.
INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER MEDICAMENTS
No clinically significant drug interactions known.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
The
safety
of
dequalinium
chloride
during
pregnancy
and
lactation has not been established, but it is not considered to
constitute a hazard.
SYMPTOMS AND TREATMENT FOR OVERDOSAGE
Overdosage
should
not
present
a
problem
other
than
gastrointestinal discomfort. Treatment should be symptomatic.
