WHAT_ BONAIR_ IS USED FOR
Bonair is used as a prevention and relief
medication in mild,
moderate or severe
asthma.
HOW_ BONAIR_ WORKS
Bonair
contain Salbutamol
which acts
especially on the bronchi
(airway)
by
relaxing
the
smooth
muscles.
Bonair
provides
short-acting
(4
to
6
hour)
bronchodilation (widening the airways)
in reversible airways
obstruction with
fast onset (within 5 minutes).
BEFORE YOU USE_ BONAIR_
_When you must not use it_
Do
not
use
Bonair
if
you
are
hypersensitive to salbutamol
sulfate or
to any other ingredients listed at the end
of this leaflet.
_Pregnancy and lactation_
Administration
of
Bonair
during
pregnancy should only be considered if
the expected benefit
to the mother
is
greater
than any possible
risk to the
foetus.
Unnecessary administration of
medicine
during
the
1
st
trimester
of
pregnancy is undesirable.
As Salbutamol
is probably secreted in
breast milk its use in nursing mothers is
not
recommended unless
the expected
benefits outweigh any potential
risk.
It
is
not
known
whether
salbutamol
in
breast
milk has a harmful
effect
on the
newborn.
_Before you start to use it_
Tell your doctor if you have any of the
following conditions:

heart disease

high blood pressure

high blood sugar
_Taking other medicines_
Tell
your
doctor
if
you are taking any
other medicines,
including any that you
buy from a pharmacy,
supermarket
or
health food shop without a prescription.
Concomitant used with β-Blockers eg,
propranolol
will
inhibit
the
effect
of
salbutamol.
Additional
adrenergic
agents,
monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI)
for
depression
or
tricyclic
antidepressants
should
be
used
with

Keep in a cool place, away from direct
sunlight or heat. Do not puncture or burn even
when apparently empty.
Keep medicine out of reach of children.
