Product Description
:
Smooth, white – water soluble cream
Pharmacodynamics :
Menthol has mild analgesic and rubefacient properties, Eugenol
is
rubefacient
and
slightly
analgesic
with
preservative
properties,
Methyl
Salicylate
has
analgesic
properties.
It
is
readily absorbed through the skin and relieves pain in rheumatic
conditions.
Pharmacokinetics :
Camphor is well absorbed when applied topically, and produce
local effect. Clove oil appears to be poorly absorbed. There is no
data for methyl salicylate.
Indication
:
Apply or rub for relieves of muscular aches, arthritis and
rheumatic pains, strains and sprains, chest cold congestion.
Recommended Dosage
:
Rub in Bio-Musclax to the affected area as often as required.
Contraindications
:
Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the
excipients.
Warning & Precautions
:
This product contains methyl salicylate and when applied or rub
on to the skin, can be absorbed through the skin into the blood.
For patients taking warfarin, excessive application on to the skin
for muscle or joint pains may increase the chances of bleeding.
Pregnancy and Lactation
:
In the absence of sufficient data the use during pregnancy and
lactation is not recommended.
