W/V NASAL SPRAY IS USED FOR
BECLATE
AQUANASE
0.1%
w/v
Nasal
Spray
is
used
to
prevent
and
treat the common symptoms of allergic
rhinitis,
including
hayfever
such
as
sneezing
and
a
runny,
itchy
or
blocked-up nose.
BECLATE
AQUANASE
0.1%
w/v
Nasal Spray can also prevent the small
growths inside the nose (nasal polyps)
from
coming
back
after
they
are
removed.
HOW BECLATE AQUANASE 0.1%
W/V NASAL SPRAY WORKS
The
active
ingredient
is
beclomethasone
dipropionate,
a
corticosteroid which, when used every
day, has an anti-inflammatory action
and works in a similar way to natural
body
chemicals
to
control
inflammation. This nasal spray helps to
control
your
body's
reactions
to
allergens
('triggers')
in
the
environment.

DO NOT USE BECLATE AQUANASE
0.1% W/V NASAL SPRAY:
•
if
you
have
untreated
fungal,
bacterial or viral infections
•
if
you
have
tuberculosis
(TB)
infection in your lungs
•
if you have viral infection of eye
(ocular herpes simplex)
•
if you have unhealed wounds in
your nose
•
if you have ever had an allergic
reaction
to
beclomethasone
dipropionate or any of the other
ingredients

Blow your nose gently.

Close one nostril and
put the nozzle in the
other nostril as shown.
Tilt your head slightly
forward keeping the
nozzle in the upright
position.

Start to breathe in
through your nose and
while breathing in press
down your fingers once
to release a spray.

Breathe out through your
mouth. Repeat steps 6
and 7 to inhale a second
spray.

Repeat steps 5, 6 and 7
for the other nostril

Wipe the nozzle with a
clean cloth and replace
the dust cap

Shake the bottle gently,
then remove the dust cap.
Hold the bottle as shown
with your forefinger and
middle finger on either
side of the nozzle and
your thumb underneath
the bottle.

DESCRIPTION
A white homogenous, redispersible suspension filled in amber glass
vials(10 ml) USP Type I with crimped nasal spray assembly.
PHARMACOLOGY
PHARMACODYNAMICS
Beclomethasone dipropionate has potent glucocorticoid and weak
mineralocorticoid activity; as a glucocorticoid, the drug is 6-7 times
more potent than hydrocortisone when administered orally or
subcutaneously.
Following topical application to the nasal mucosa, beclomethasone
dipropionate produces anti-inflammatory and vasoconst
