What Axe Brand Medicated
Oil is used for
Provides temporary relief of
headaches, colds and blocked
noses, muscular and joint pains,
stomach discomforts and wind,
giddiness/ travel sickness and
soothes itching from insect bites.
How Axe Brand Medicated
Oil works
Menthol relieves itching, dilates
the blood vessels causing a
sensation of coldness followed
by an analgesic (pain-relieving)
effect. Camphor also dilates
blood vessels and provides pain
relief. It causes the skin to feel
cool and then warm. These
feelings on the skin distract you
from feeling the aches/ pains
deeper in your muscles, joints,
and tendons. Methyl Salicylate
has the actions of the salicylates.
When the vapour is inhaled,
Eucalyptus Oil acts to ventilate
the lung (bronchial) passages
and relieve bronchitis and
associated conditions.
Before you use Axe Brand
Medicated Oil
When you must not use it
 Known hypersensitivity/
allergy to any of the
ingredients, aspirin, other
salicylates, or other non-
steroidal anti-inflammatory
drugs
 Do not use in infants under 2
years old. Caution must be
exercised when older children
are treated
Before you start to use it
Please consult your doctor or
pharmacist before using if you
are:
 Pregnant or breastfeeding
Do not place any camphor-
containing product into the
nostrils of children. Even a small
amount applied this way may
cause immediate collapse.
Taking other medicines
For patients taking warfarin (a
medicine to prevent blood clots),
excessive application onto the
skin
