WHAT
AXCEL
FUNGICORT
CREAM
IS
USED FOR
Axcel
Fungicort
Cream
is
used
in
treatment of fungal infections of the
skin including candidiasis, tinea and
pityriasis
versicolor,
where
inflammation
of
the
skin
is
also
present.
HOW
AXCEL
FUNGICORT
CREAM
WORKS
Miconazole
is
an
imidazole
antifungal
agent
which
alters
the
permeability of the cell membrane of
sensitive fungi. It is a fungicidal.
Hydrocortisone
is
a
glucocorticoid
whose
principal
pharmacological
actions
include
gluconeogenesis,
glycogen
deposition
and
protein,
lipid
and
calcium
metabolism,
together
with
anti-inflammatory
activity.
It
is
effective
topically
because
of
its
anti-inflammatory,
antipruritic
and
vasoconstrictive
actions.
BEFORE
YOU

Do not use Axcel Fungicort Cream
if:
•
You
are
hypersensitive
or
allergic to any component of the
cream.
•
You
have
tuberculosis
of
the
skin.
•
You have chicken-pox.
•
You have vaccinia.
•
You have herpes simplex.
•
It is not prescribed by a qualified
doctor or pharmacist for you.
•
You are pregnant, trying to get
pregnant
or think
you
may be
pregnant.
•
You
are
breast-feeding.
Ask
your
doctor
or
pharmacist
for
advice
before
taking
any
medicine.
