WHAT AXCEL BROMHEXINE TABLET IS
USED FOR
Axcel
Bromhexine
Tablet
is
a
mucolytic (agent which dissolve thick
mucus)
expectorant
used
in
the
treatment
of
respiratory
disorders
associated with productive cough.
Axcel Bromhexine Tablet is used for
the reduction of sputum viscosity.
HOW
AXCEL
BROMHEXINE
TABLET
WORKS
Bromhexine
Hydrochloride
is
a
mucolytic (agent which dissolve thick
mucus) expectorant whose action is to
stimulate
the
mucous
glands
to
produce
a
secretion
and
reduced
content of acid glycoprotein fibres.
BEFORE YOU USE AXCEL BROMHEXINE
TABLET

Do not take Axcel Bromhexine Tablet
if:

It is not prescribed by a qualified
doctor or pharmacist for you.

Tell your doctor if:

You are allergic to any medicines.
•
You
are
taking
any
other
medicines
including
those
not
prescribed by your doctor.
•
You
are
taking
any
dietary
supplements.

You have gastric ulceration.

following
medicine
as
it
may
interact
with

Axcel
Bromhexine Tablet:

Erythromycin,
cephalexin
and
amoxicillin.
It may still be all right for you to take
Axcel
Bromhexine
Tablet
and
your
doctor will be able to decide what is
suitable for you.
HOW
TO
USE
AXCEL
BROMHEXINE
TABLET
_-How much to use _
For oral administration only
Children under 5 years:
½
tablet
(4mg),
2
times
daily.
Children 5-10 years:
½
tablet
(4mg),
3
times
daily.
Adult:
1-2 tablets (8-16mg), 3-4 times daily.
