WHAT AXCEL
ATENOLOL TABLETS IS USED
FOR
Axcel Atenolol Tablets is used for

Control of high blood pressure

Management of chest pain

Control of irregular heartbeat

Treatment of heart attack. Early
and late intervention.
HOW AXCEL
ATENOLOL TABLETS WORKS
Atenolol is a beta-blocker, where the
mode of action in the treatment of
high blood pressure is unclear. It is
probably
the
action
of
atenolol
in
reducing heart rate and contractility
which
makes
it
effective
in
eliminating or reducing the symptoms
of
patients
with
chest
pain.
Early
intervention
with
atenolol
in
heart
attack helps to reduce the size of area
of dying heart tissues.
BEFORE YOU USE AXCEL
ATENOLOL TABLETS
WHEN YOU MUST NOT USE IT
Do not take Axcel Atenolol Tablets if:

If
you
are
allergic
or
hypersensitive to any component
of this medication.

If you have very slow heartbeat;
your
heart
unable
to
pump
as
much blood as the body needs;
low
blood
pressure;
severe
peripheral
arterial
circulatory
disturbances (in which narrowed
arteries
reduced
blood
flow
to
your
limbs);
second
or
third
degree
heart
block;
sick
sinus
syndrome
(a
collection
of
abnormal
heart
rhythm);
untreated
phaeochromocytoma
(rare
tumor
of
adrenal
gland
tissue);
uncontrolled
heart
failure.
BEFORE YOU START TO USE IT
Tell your doctor if:
