WHAT AMCOSOL_ _IS USED FOR
It is used for treatment in conditions where
there are a lot of thick secretion or mucus
in the air passage.
HOW AMCOSOL WORKS
Amcosol contains ambroxol hydrochloride
which clears the chest by thinning the
mucus in the air passage.
BEFORE YOU USE AMCOSOL
_- When you must not use it _
Do not take Amcosol if allergic to
ambroxol or to other ingredients in it.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice
before taking any medicine.
_Pregnancy & Lactation _
Special care is recommended during
pregnancy. The benefits must be assessed
against possible effects on the child.

_- Before you start to use it _
Inform the doctor or pharmacist if there
are liver or kidney problems.
_- Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including any that you
buy without a prescription from a
pharmacy, supermarket or health food
shop.
HOW TO USE AMCOSOL
_- How much to use _
Adults and children above 12 years:
10ml (2 teaspoonfuls) twice daily.
Children 6 – 12 years: 5ml (1 teaspoonful)
2 – 3 times daily. Children 2 – 6 years:
2.5ml (½ teaspoonful) three times daily.
Children 1 – 2 years: 2.5ml (½
teaspoonful) twice daily. Follow all
directions given by your doctor and
pharmacist carefully. They may differ
from the information contained in this
leaflet. If you do not understand the
instructions on the label, ask your doctor
or pharmacist for help.
