WHAT ALLERGO-COMOD
® IS USED FOR
Allergo-COMOD
®
is used for
treatment of allergic eye conditions
such as hayfever and conjunctivitis.
HOW ALLERGO-COMOD
® WORKS
Allergo-COMOD
®
contains an
antiallergic agent which acts by
preventing the release of the natural
substances in your body that can cause
an allergic reaction.

BEFORE YOU USE ALLERGO-COMOD
®
_-When you must not use it _
Do not use if you have hypersensitivity
to sodium cromoglycate or any
ingredients of the product.
Contact lenses should not be worn
during treatment with Allergo-
COMOD
®
eye drops.
_-Before you start to use it _
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant
or breastfeeding. Although there is no
evidence of damaging effects to the
fetus, Allergo-COMOD® eye drops is
not recommended for use the first
three months of pregnancy
_-Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including any that
you buy without a prescription from a
pharmacy, supermarket or health food
shop.
HOW TO USE ALLERGO-COMOD
®
•
Remove the cap covering the nozzle.
•
Tilt your head back.
Retract the lower lid with a finger.
Gently squeeze out one drop onto the
exposed surface of the lower lid
avoiding any contact of the bottle
with eye or skin. Close the bottle
carefully.
_-How much to use _
For adults and children 4 years and
above:
The usual dose is 1 drop four times
daily.
Safety and effectiveness in children
below 4 years of age has not been
established.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Allergo-COMOD
®
eye drops is a clear and colourless to slightly yellow solution
available in dropper plastic
bottle with 10 ml solution.
PHARMACOLOGY
PHARMACODYNAMICS & PHARMACOKINETICS
Allergo-COMOD
®
eye drops contain an anti-allergic agent which acts by inhibiting the
degranulation of mast
cells. By this, the release histamine is suppressed.
INDICATIONS AND CLINICAL USE
Indicated in acute and chronic allergic conjunctivitis including
hay-fever conjunctivitis, vernal
keratoconjunctivitis.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Instill 1 drop 4 times daily into the conjunctival sac. Children 4
years and above and adults apply the same
dosage. The exact duration of therapy should be based on the
physician’s judgement.
Remove the cap covering the nozzle. Before applying Allergo-COMOD
®
eye drops for the first time, press on
the bottom of the bottle as frequently and necessary until the first
drops is coming out.
Afterwards the bottle is ready for all following applications.
Invert the bottle as is shown in the picture and press quickly and
powerful on the bottom of the bottle
activating the mechanism to get out one drop.
Because of the special construction of valves the outcoming drops are
always of equal size and speed not
depending on how powerful you press the bottom.
Tilt your head back, with a finger retract the lower lid until the
inner red, moist surface is exposed and
bring the eye drops as described into the conjunctival sac. Close the
eyes slowly. After use close the bottle
carefully. A contact of the bottle with eye or skin should be avoided.
The treatment with Allergo-COMOD
®
eye drops should not be stopped after symptoms improve. Rather its
use should be continued until the patient is no longer in contact with
the allergen (pollen, house dust, mold,
etc.).
MODE OF ADMINISTRATION
