WHAT
AXCEL
DEXXON
LOZENGES
IS
USED FOR
Axcel Dexxon Lozenges is used in
the treatment of infection such as:
•
Minor
infection
of
the
mouth
and throat.
•
Anginous
infection
(bacterial
infection of mouth).
•
Catarrhal
infection
(inflammation
of
mucous
membrane especially of the nose
and throat).
•
Inflammation
of
the
mucous
membrane and gums.
WHAT
AXCEL
DEXXON
LOZENGES
IS
USED FOR
Dequalinium
Chloride
is
an
antiseptic medicine. It works against
a wide range of bacteria, yeasts and
fungi.
BEFORE
YOU
USE
AXCEL
DEXXON
LOZENGES
_-When you must not use it _
Do not take Axcel Dexxon Lozenges
if:
•
You are allergy or hypersensitive
to dequalinium.
•
Your child is under 3 years of
age.
•
You
are
being
treated
with
sulphonamides (antibiotic).
•
It is not prescribed by a qualified
doctor or pharmacist for you.
•
You are pregnant, trying to get
pregnant or think you may be
pregnant.
•
You
are
breast-feeding.
Ask
your
doctor
or
pharmacist
for
advice
before
taking
any
medicine.

Tell your doctor if:
•
You
are
allergic
to
medicines,
food and dyes.
•
You
are
taking
any
other
medicines
(including
those
not
prescribed by your doctor).

Tell your doctor if you are taking any

you buy without a prescription from
a
pharmacy,

COMPOSITION:
Each lozenge contains
Dequalinium Chloride
0.25mg
Sunset Yellow as colourant.
PRESENTATION:
Orange
coloured
and
orange
flavoured,
round, flat lozenges, marked KOTRA logo on
one side, 12.9mm in diameter.
INDICATIONS:
Minor infection of the mouth and throat.
Anginous infection : Angina catarrhalis, as
adjuvant
in
angina
lacunaris
and
Plaut-Vincent’s angina.
Catarrhal infections : Pharyngitis, laryngitis.
Inflammation of the mucous membrane and
gums
:
Gingivitis,
ulceration
stomatitis,
aphthous stomatitis.
DOSAGE:
Adult and children : Allow 1 lozenge to be
dissolved slowly in the mouth every 2 hours.
After
the
inflammatory
symptoms
have
subsided, suck 1 lozenge every 4 hours.
CONTRAINDICATION:
Patients
hypersensitive
to
dequalinium
chloride,
patients
being
treated
with
sulphonamides and children under 3 years of
age.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Side effects and undesirable accompanied
symptoms have not been observed.
PRECAUTIONS:
Severe
sore
throat
accompanied
by
high
fever or headache, nausea and vomiting, any
sore throat persisting more than 2 days may
be serious, and need to be under medical
attention.
STORAGE:
Keep
container
well
closed.
Store
below
