What Transamin Capsule is used
for
Transamin is an anti-fibrinolytic
agent used for treating certain
abnormal bleeding conditions.
How Transamin Capsule works
Transamin Capsule contains an active
ingredient called tranexamic acid
It is used to stop or reduce unwanted
bleeding. When you bleed your body
forms clots to stop the bleeding. In
some people the break down of
clotting mechanism causing too much
bleeding. Transamin stops the clots
from dissolving and so reduces
unwanted bleeding.
Before you take Transamin
Capsule
When you must not take it
If you are receiving thrombin,
an agent used in helping blood clot.
Pregnancy and lactation
If you are pregnant, trying to become
pregnant or breast feeding ask your
doctor or pharmacist for advice
before taking Transamin Capsule
Before you start to take it
It is important to let your doctor
know, if :
- You are allergic to the product
before
- You have serious problems with
your kidneys (kidney failure)
- You have or at risk with blood clot
in your blood vessels (such as stroke
and heart attack due to thrombosis)
- You have recently undergone a
surgical operation
- You are at risk of excessive
bleeding as a result of a bleeding
disorder called consumption
coagulopathy
Taking other medicines
Transamin should be administered
with care when co-administered with
the following medications:
haemocoagulase (a medication used
to treat bleeding.), batroxobin(used to
prevent bleeding) and coagulation
factor agents (clotting factor agents).
Inform your doctor or pharmacist that
you are taking Transamin Capsule
before your are given any medicine.
