Babesiosis:
Prevention
and
sterilisation:
2.5
rnL per 100 kg bodyweight by subcutaneous
injection. Irnidox Injection provides protection against babesiosis
for up to 4 weeks.
Treatment:
I mL per 100 kg bodyweight by subcutaneous injection. Very severe
cases may require a second dose 24 hours following the first
injection.
Ananlasmosis: 2.5 mL per 100 kg bodyweight by subcutaneous injection.

PHARMACOLOGY
Imidocarb dipropionate
is
a derivative
ofthe
carbanilide antiprotozoals. Although the
exact mode
of
action
of
the drug is not known a possible mechanism is interference
with cellular repair and replication through binding with DNA.
Imidocarb is highly
effective against infections caused by

and
_Anaplasma _
spp.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES
SWALLOWED: Do not induce vomiting. Rinse out mouth with water. Seek
medical attention immediately.
EYE: If in eyes, hold eyes open and immediately flood with water for
at least 15 minutes. Seek medical
assistance.
SKIN: If skin contact occurs remove contaminated clothing and wash
skin thoroughly with soap and water.
INHALED: Remove patient to fresh air. Rinse mouth and nose with water
if required. Seek medical attention if
required.
FIRST AID FACILITIES: No specific first aid facilities required.
ADVICE TO DOCTOR: Treat symptomatically as required. Neurological
disorders may be aggravated by
exposure to this product.
5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Not likely to contribute to a fire. Heating of the product results in
increased pressure in a sealed container,
which may lead to bursting of the container.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Clean up spilled material with absorbent. Flush contaminated area with
hot water and detergent.
Dispose of waste in accordance with local, state or federal laws.
