NAME OF THE VETERINARY MEDICINE, FORM AND STRENGTH
Galfenicol Solution Veterinary, solution for drinking water for
chickens, containing
Florfenicol 10%

ACTIVE INGREDIENT AND QUANTITY IN A SINGLE DOSE
Florfenicol 10% w/v

WHAT IS THE MEDICINE INTENDED FOR
Treatment of bacterial infections susceptible to florfenicol in
chickens
Therapeutic group
: Antibacterial product of the Amphenicols group, with a wide range
activity
against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
4.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not use in egg laying hens.
Do not use in birds for reproduction. The product might cause fetal
mortality and a sharp decrease
in hatching.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient
(florfenicol).

SIDE EFFECTS
decrease in food and water consumption were observed following
treatment, as well as loose
stool (diarrhea), which disappeared following treatment stopping.

TARGET ANIMALS: Chickens
7.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
30 mg/ kg body weight administered collectively in the drinking water
during 6-8 hours for 3-5
days, or according to recommendation of the attending veterinarian.

HOW TO USE THE PRODUCT
For administration in drinking water according to the instructions in
paragraph 7.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD -
for slaughter for meat: 7 days.
