literature that indicates protection against virulent ND at these
levels of antibody when
generated by live NDV vaccination
Vaccination Program
Drinking water: Dissolve the freeze dried pellet in enough drinking
water, with skim milk
powder (2.5% w/v) first included to neutralise any residual chlorine
to provide each 7-14
day-old chicken with one dose of vaccine over a 1-2 hour period.
Vaccination Procedure:
Preparation:
1. Check that all drinkers are working properly. Clean drinkers,
header tanks/medication
tanks and medication units- do not use detergent or disinfectant.
2. Calculate doses needed. ND vaccination is administered at 100%
rate-therefore each
bird must be allocated one full dose of vaccine.
