EYE DROPS
CONTENTS:
10 ml contains:
Active ingredient: Sodium Cromoglycate 0.2 g
Other ingredients: Benzalkonium chloride, Disodium edetate, Glucose
monohy-
drate and water for injections
INDICATIONS:
Acute and chronic allergic conjunctivitis and non-specific irritations
of the con-
junctiva.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Although there is no indication of teratogenic effects Allergocrom
®
is not recom-
mended for use during the first three months of pregnancy.
Contact lenses should not be worn during treatment with Allergocrom
®
eye
drops.
SIDE-EFFECTS:
Hypersensitivity and allergic reaction to benzalkonium chloride. In
rare cases
temporary burning, foreign-body-sensation, and chemosis have been
reported.
DOSAGES AND DIRECTIONS FOR USAGE:
If not otherwise prescribed, instill 1 drop 4 times daily into the
conjunctival sac.
Unscrew the small cap (covering the nozzle), invert the bottle and
gently squeeze
out the prescribed number of drops into the conjunctival sac.
Treatment with Allergocrom
®
should not be stopped after symptoms improve.
Rather, its use should be continued until the patient is no longer in
contact with
the allergen (pollen, house dust, mold, etc.).
Immediately after application of Allergocrom
®
eye drops vision may be impaired
for a short time.
